Man that old journal was buggin me! Time for an update!
Although it's been over a year since we wrapped production on YJ, with the dust settling on the finale it seems like a fitting time to express my gratitude to all the people I worked with on the show and all the fans who helped make the whole experience special. I'm WAY too lazy to list ALL the amazing people here (that's what IMDB is for guys ;)) so I'll just keep it quick.

Deepest gratitude of course goes to Sam Register, Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman who brought me onto the project when development began in Spring of 2009. At that point it was just the four of us meeting to discuss design and direction while Brandon and Greg began crafting the overall story and history of this version of the DCU. Without these guys there obviously would not have been a YJ cartoon at all, and although we didn't always agree on everything, I can't imagine having worked on it with anyone else really.
I also want to give major props to our awesome in house directors Mike Chang, Jay Oliva, (season one) Mel Zwyer, Tim Divar and Doug Murphy (season 2), as well as our guest directors, Sam Liu, Chris Berkley, Matt Youngberg  and Vic Cook. All these dudes made it happen in a big way! Much love also goes to our amazing editor Jhoanne Reyes who's tireless dedication to the show helped make it a success.
Of course the show wouldn't have been very interesting to watch at all if not for the great talent of our overseas animators at studios Moi and Lotto. It's easy for fans to forget that we conceive, write, design and do all the preproduction for animated shows here in the states, but that the final animation is done by a team of brilliant artists in South Korea.

Finally, a ton of awesome board artists, designers and painters helped to make the show great, but for me I have to reserve MY biggest thanks for my own character design team, Dusty Abell and Jerome Moore. I've sung their praises before, and if you are familiar with their work you know I don't exaggerate so I won't go into too much detail about their tremendous talents here, I will simply say that my already challenging job on YJ would have been considerably harder without the support of these two great artists. Thanks for everything guys, it was an absolute pleasure working with artists I consider to be the very best.

I think that's it ... roll call over?  Oh no wait... the fans! And all the awesome artists and art enthusiasts on this site! You guys! Everybody who has stopped by my page to wish me well, I want to thank you for all the kind things you have said about my work and tell you how much I appreciate the show of love and support. It means a lot to me to hear from you guys and girls and it really never gets old. A lot of you have expressed to me that you have hopes to see my work in more DC cartoons... well I have more on the way. I have been working steadily on new stuff at WB since YJ wrapped in Spring of 2012 and I will be able to share the details here as things are officially announced.

So that's it, now I'm done, enjoy your Saturday!

Young Justice was by far one of my favorite animated shows from DC, along with BatmanTAS, and both JL and JL Unlimited. It's sad that the show was canned, but maybe someone will get wise and pick you and the team up for another show. Your style is fantastic.

Can I just say, Thank you. Young Justice was the basis of dreams for me, and I would sit in front of the TV for half an hour just copying the characters face, trying to capture the likeness, and I would not be satisfied until it looked just like what was on the screen. I was no artists, but you're work convinced me otherwise and kept me happy on days where I truly should not have been.
I simply cannot thank you enough.

I'm so pissed that it's cancelled it was literally the highlight of my weekends when i'd go home from college. It was possibly one of the best written animated series out there. I wish that it wasn't over it could have gone on forever... Stupid cartoon network canceling all the good shows

This has been one of my all time favorites. Young Justice has reignited my passion to become a writer and artist in the comic book industry. Your work is beyond amazing. Though I wish the show could go on, I can't wait for what the future has in store. You deserve all the success you gained from this series!

Can't wait to see your Deathstroke from The Flashpoint Paradox and whatever else you have in store.

You must be short on time, but it'd be cool to see your take on Luthor in his new gear and the mystery villain in Legacy after it releases in September.

Could there be any possibility of future direct-to-DVD YJ releases, or other animated stories told in the YJ continuity? You all obviously put so much more work and thought into the setting, background and history than could ever be fully conveyed in a half-hour episodic TV series, it would really be a shame for it to just fade away completely.

The injustice to a show of this quality being cancelled for "Teen Titans Go" ( a puppet animation show) is TOTALLY absurd to say the least! Makes one wonder what people are running things at cartoon network. Obviously they don't pay attention to who is actually watching the shows! Your work has been of the highest caliber Phil...to say the least. You've help bring the wonder & excitement back to saturday morning television that my 18 year old collegiate basketball playing son felt that he missed out on in the 80's-part of the 90's. He wasn't this interested in an animated series since Timm's Justice League...that says ALOT!

I'm both sad— that the series is over, as it was not only my favorite DCU, but just an amazingly well written, designed, paced and developed story— and happy— that I got the chance to be a part of all of that. If there's one good thing, it's that YJ went out at the top of its game (although the promise of even better things to come makes it a little bittersweet).

Having seen the show, and then coming online and onto dA and seeing that you guys were not only talented, but humble, kind, open with your fans, and all around awesome— that made it doubly special. Thanks for sharing this amazing series with us!

I look forward to the day when I'll get to sit my nephews down (currently a little too young at two years old)— maybe even my own kids, one day— and get to introduce them to the world of superheroes. Because this is definitely the series I want it to be.

I truly enjoyed the show and was extremely sad to see it come to an end.
That last episode, at least for me and some friends at school, felt like that last episode was a cliff-hanger.

Thank you for your amazing designed character, I really enjoyed that show and the look.
I wish young justice was just taking a break, that would be awesome
Again thank you and all that you said put such hard work into 2 AMAZING seasons

If I may ask, was it planned for cyborg to come to the show after invasion, or even raven and star fire?

You folks cooked up a magnificent feast for our eyes, thank you!

Question, I know folks in animation are sneaky crafty devils- are there any easter eggs we should look for? Big or small. Like Swamp Thing randomly walking across screen (lookin' at you Justice League!) or Marvin the Martian (That was pretty great by the way) And I've known some folks working on shows to give themselves a restaurant, or slip their friends into a scene. Anything you'd care to share?

It's was an incredible accomplishment and I only wish you guys and what you created had received the longevity and respect from higher ups that the series more than deserved. You proved that Animation is a true art form and that it can be used to relate more than just slapstick, kiddie humor, or nonsensical characters. I honestly believe you guys transcended the genre of animated shows and just wish you had been given more time to add on to a really incredible vision. For what there was, you have my deepest admiration and respect both as a fan of the DCU and an art enthusiast. Here's to a bright future for you and everyone who made YJ as great as it is.
